Nascar

Ryan Preece won at Nashville Superspeedway for the second year in a row and led David Gilliland Racing to a second consecutive NASCAR Camping World Truck Series victory.

Preuss went ahead with nine laps remaining on the final restart and stopped fellow Ford driver Jane Smith.

“I was a little closer than I wanted to,” Preece said. “Just old tires, heat cycles. They were chattering. I had clean air, and I put (Smith) dirty air on it as much as I could. I wasn’t going to leave it.”

Cup driver Todd Gilliland won for his father’s team on the dirt at Knoxville Raceway in Iowa last week.

Preuss, 31, from Berlin, Connecticut, is a reserve driver for Stewart-Haas Racing. He’s running a limited event in NASCAR’s top three series.
