Serena Williams is returning to Wimbledon. The championship announced on 14 June that the seven-time winner was receiving a wild card to play singles, which would be her 21st Wimbledon appearance.

The 40-year-old goat hinted at the big news in a post she shared on Instagram, uploading a photo that showed her standing on a grassy field in Nike sneakers with her Wilson tennis racket bag. In addition to tagging his team—which includes his trainer and hitting partner—Williams tagged Wimbledon’s official Instagram account.

“SW and SW19,” she wrote in the cryptic caption, referring to her initials and the postal code for All England Lawn Tennis.

23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams will make her long-awaited return to Eastbourne next week when she teams up with fourth-placed Ons Jaboor for the doubles event. Williams, 40, hasn’t played a match since retiring from a Wimbledon first round match 12 months ago.

After being sidelined for the past 12 months, Williams has decided to return to competitive action.

“On behalf of everyone at the LTA we are delighted to extend a warm welcome to Serena in the stunning setting of Rothesay International and Devonshire Park, Eastbourne. This year’s line-up is proving to be absolutely stellar, with Serena being here at the cake And personally, I’m sure I will speak for many that we can’t wait to see him play again,” Eastbourne tournament director Gavin Fletcher said.
