Analysis
The 2022 NFL Schedule was released on Thursday.
Can Quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Los Angeles Rams Repeat as Champs?
Stafford and the Rams will kick off the NFL season on Thursday, Sept. 8, by hosting the Buffalo Bills. ESPN’s Monday Night Football opener is September 12 and will feature Russell Wilson starting with the Denver Broncos hosting his former team, the Seattle Seahawks.
Based on the strength of the schedule – which is determined by opponents’ records in 2021 – the Rams have the toughest schedule of the 2022 season and the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Commanders tie for the easiest.
The NFL expanded to 17 regular-season games last season. The final regular-season games for the 2022 season will be played on January 8, 2023. The playoffs will begin on January 14 and continue through Super Bowl LVII on February 12 in Glendale, Arizona.

Monday games
ESPN made one of the biggest splashes of the broadcasting offseason when it signed Buck and Ackman to work on “Monday Night Football”, pulling them away from Fox. Buck will handle play-by-play, while Aikman will provide color commentary.
Week 2 will have a few games, with one game airing on ESPN and another on ABC.
“Monday Night Football” games can be viewed on the ESPN app, through ESPN, or on FuboTV, which offers a free trial. ESPN will also have exclusive coverage of the October 30 matchup between the Broncos and Jaguars in London at 9:30 a.m. ET.
