Another source told ESPN that a bystander chased Jada Paul after leaving his seat during the game.
Videos have since surfaced on Twitter, showing the 37-year-old NBA icon being handled by Suns assistant coach Mark Bryant as he attempted to confront a male teen who was being evicted. The fan, wearing the Mavericks T-shirt, has not been publicly identified, but security personnel were seen exiting.
The Mavericks later announced that the fan was kicked out: ‘This was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated. The Mavericks, in conjunction with the American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.’
The controversy may have gone unnoticed thanks to Paul’s tweet after his 111-101 loss to the Suns in Game 4 of the Western Conference Semifinal Series, which is now tied at 2-2.

A fan was pulled from Sunday’s Phoenix Suns playoff game at the Dallas Mavericks after he harassed and physical contact with family members of Chris Paul while enraging a Suns point guard during a Mother’s Day game.
“Fans want fine players to say things to but fans can lay their hands on our families…. F—that!!,” Paul tweeted after the Suns’ 111-101 defeat at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, drawing the playoff series 2-2.
Paul’s mother, Robin, and his wife, Jada, were watching the game in the seats behind the Sons bench when the incident occurred. ESPN reported that Jada was pushed and someone “held a hand” on Robin, watching the kids. The video shows Paul talking with a police officer and security guard near Sons Bench during the time of the fourth quarter. He appeared to say that a fan “put his hand on my mother.” An unnamed source told ESPN that Paul’s family was feeling insecure.
“This was unacceptable behavior and will not be tolerated,” the Mavericks said in a statement. “The Mavericks, along with the American Airlines Center, swiftly removed the fan from today’s game.”
Paul, who was fouled out within just nine minutes and scored five points, did not address the incident in his postgame news conference, answering only one question before leaving the room.
