Aaron Edison Gordon (born September 16, 1995) is an American professional basketball player for the Denver Nuggets of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He played one year of college basketball for the University of Arizona before being selected by the Magic with the fourth overall pick in the 2014 NBA Draft. Gordon has gained notoriety as one of the greatest contestants of all time in the NBA Slam Dunk Contest; In 2016, he lost a close matchup to Zach LaVine, and in 2020 he lost much less to Derrick Jones Jr.

Archbishop Mitty basketball alum Drew Gordon, who plays professional basketball in Ukraine, sent a message on Thursday night that he and his family had returned home safely.
“What a good everyone!!! Me and family are safe at home!!,” posted Gordon on his official Twitter account. “Thanks for the good wishes and concern! I hope and pray for the recovery of Ukraine. Nice to play there and hope things settle down.
Gordon, the older brother of Denver Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon, was playing for BC Budivelnik, a team based in Kyiv, in the Ukrainian Basketball Super League when the country was invaded by Russian forces on February 24. Gordon is one of two known Bay Areas. -based athletes, including Cal basketball alum Christine Enigwe, who should have played as the Russian invasion began in Ukraine.
Three days before the attack, 31-year-old Gordon tweeted that professional hoppers in Russia “want to move the cash house ASAP before these sanctions are in place.”
Gordon and his younger brother Archbishop Mitty were exceptional basketball players for the Monarchs. Drew, the eldest, won three West Catholic Athletic League championships with the Monarchs and was selected to the All-West Catholic League first team three times. Gordon played for UCLA before relocating to New Mexico as a junior.

Nuggets forward Aaron Gordon signed a four-year, $92 million contract extension, according to The Athletics shams Charnia.

Mike Singer of The Denver Post initially reported that the 25-year-old was eligible for a four-year, $88 million extension. Gordon played 25 games with the Nuggets during the regular season, averaging 10.2 points and 4.7 rebounds in about 26 minutes of action per game.
The Nuggets engage Gordon with Magic from Orlando guards Gary Harris and R.J. Hampton. Prior to joining Denver, Gordon spent seven years with the Magic after being selected No. 4 in the 2014 NBA Draft.
