Net worth 2022
Colin Kaepernick’s net worth is currently estimated at $20 million. In September 2018, Kaepernick signed a deal with Nike. Although the Nike deal has helped increase his net worth, his hiatus from football has affected it from growing. The quarterback earned approximately $43 million in salary during his time with the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2016. In his final season with the 49ers, he earned an estimated amount of $14.3 million.
Did sign with the seahawks
The Seattle Seahawks have signed quarterback Colin Kaepernick for financial reasons, at least for now.
NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo reported that the Seahawks and Kaepernick met last week when they were “separated over money.”
Since becoming a free agent in March after pulling out of his deal with the San Francisco 49ers, Kaepernick’s only trip with the team was in Seattle on May 24.
Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll met with reporters on Friday and was asked why the team had not signed Kaepernick.
“He’s a starter in this league,” he said, per Fox Sports’ Andre Vergara. “We have a starter, but he is a starter in this league and I can’t imagine anyone will give him a chance to play.”
It is unclear what Kaepernick is seeking on his next contract. The 29-year-old was owed $14.5 million in basic salary the following season before dropping out with the 49ers.
In 58 games as the starting quarterback, Kaepernick has thrown 72 touchdowns and 30 interceptions with 12,271 passing yards.
