Limp
Krzyzewski felt severe back pain, and after going to the doctor, it was discovered that the pain was actually caused by his hips.
Koch K, who was 51 at the time, had osteoarthritis in his hip, one of the most common joint disorders that causes chronic pain and disability. This condition occurs due to aging and wear and tear on the joint.
Bones and joints are cushioned by cartilage, a strong rubbery tissue that allows bones to glide over each other. However, when cartilage breaks down from ageing, the bones wear together and cause pain, swelling, and stiffness.
Salary
According to USA Today’s salary database, Koch is the fourth-highest-paid coach in college basketball, with a salary of $7.35 million this season. This does not include any bonuses that may or may not accrue to him because of his post-season success.

Championships
It doesn’t take long to turn to the name Krzyzewski in conversation about the highest levels of success in the basketball world. In 41 seasons at Duke, Mike Krzyzewski—a Naismith Hall of Fame coach, five-time national champion, and 12-time Final Four participant—has created a dynasty that few events in the history of the sport can match.
No coach in Division I men’s basketball history has won more than Coach K’s 1,170 games.
Krzyzewski has a 1,170-361 record in his 46 years as a head coach, including 1,097-302 points in 41 seasons at Duke. The numbers reflecting Coach Kay’s career are simply staggering:
Five National Championships (1991, 1992, 2001, 2010, 2015)
Six gold medals as head coach of the US men’s national team
Nine National Player of the Year (11 honours)
Six National Defensive Player of the Year (Nine Honors).
Wife
Mike Krzyzewski’s wife is Carol March, better known as Mikey Krzyzewski, who has been married since 1969. Not much is known about his personal life, but here’s what we found out.
