On Tiger Woods’ big night, he’ll share the spotlight with his 14-year-old daughter.
The organization revealed Tuesday that when Woods is inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame this week, his daughter Sam Alexis Woods will introduce him to the special moment.
The ceremony, which was earlier postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, will take place on Wednesday night and will be broadcast live from 7 pm on Golf Channel. EST.
According to the PGA Tour, Woods said of his upcoming induction, “I am both honored and humbled to be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.”
“This past year has been such an incredible journey and the support I have received from my family, friends and fans has been tremendous,” he said. “This achievement is the ultimate recognition of never giving up and keeping chasing.”
The incident is one of the few public appearances Woods has made since he was seriously injured in a car accident in February 2021.

She revealed that her parents had mortgaged their house at the age of 14 so that she could play on the AJGA Tour.

During Sam’s induction speech, Tiger cried as his daughter told him, “Dad, I inducted you into the Dad Hall of Fame a long time ago.” He also aired a story about his birth, according to the New York Post. Although Sam joked about how Tiger won “the greatest gift of all” on the day she was born, she spoke poignantly about how she fought back from her disastrous February 2021 car accident.
“We didn’t know if you would come home with two legs,” she said, per the Post. “Now, you’re not only about to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, but you’re here on your own two feet. That’s why you deserve it, because you’re a fighter.”
