The NBA 75th Anniversary Team, also known as NBA 75, was chosen in 2021 to honor the 75th anniversary of the founding of the National Basketball Association (NBA). It was the fourth and most recent anniversary team in the league. Similar to the 50 Greatest Players in NBA History in 1996, a panel of media members, current and former players, coaches, general managers and team officials selected the greatest players in league history. The committee tasked with preparing the list of 75 players named an additional 76th member due to a tie in the vote. This list is part of the league’s anniversary celebrations during the 2021–22 season. [4] During the halftime celebrations of the 2022 All-Star Game, forty-five of the seventy-six players were subsequently gathered in Cleveland.

ESPN’s NBA 75th Anniversary Team Rankings Have Been Revealed. What did we get right and what went wrong on our countdown of the league’s 76 greatest legends?
Michael Jordan tops the list, followed by LeBron James, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Magic Johnson and Wilt Chamberlain. The top 10 continues with Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Tim Duncan, Oscar Robertson and Kobe Bryant.

Note: The achievements of players in the NBL, ABA, college or international basketball were not considered during the voting process. The voting pool consisted of 76 players, as there was a tie during voting for the NBA’s 75th anniversary team.

The Ultimate Draft was broadcast today on TNT (an American television network) where 8 teams were drafted from the top 75 list. Some teams were 1-member teams with the Lakers legend and the only real GM in the group going solo were Jerry West, rapper Quavo, WNBA legend Sue Bird, comedian D.L. Hughley and Hall of Famer Dominic Wilkins. 4 wildcard players were added to the list to allow each team to draft 10 players. Inside the NBA host, the goat in the broadcast, Ernie Johnson was the commissioner of the draft.
The 4 teams were NBA Insiders Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith, and Charles Barkley), TNT on Tuesday (Dwayne Wade, Adam Lefko, and Candace Parker), and according to sources (Shams Charania and Chris Haynes). The first pick went to Dominic Wilkins and the last pick went to D.L. Hughley. It was conducted as a snake draft, which meant that the person with the last pick would be the first pick in the next round.

One of the most anticipated moments for the NBA’s All-Star Weekend never took action on the court, but instead saluted the people who put so much into it over the decades.
At halftime for the All-Star Game at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Sunday, the NBA honored the 75 greatest players in league history with their 75th anniversary. While the names of the people on the roster were announced, it was not known how many were to arrive.
We did many of them, including the greatest player ever to wear a Chicago Bulls jersey.
