Press conference
American snowboarding legend Chloe Kim successfully defended her gold medal during the women’s halfpipe final at the Beijing Olympics on Thursday. And after celebrating her major win and making her way to the post-event press conference, the 21-year-old had an immediate feeling.
“I am starving,” she announced to journalists around the world.

Kim then asked members of the media to present her with some gifts to satiate her hunger.
“If someone has some breakfast in their pocket, maybe?” He said laughing from around the press room.
“It’s lunch time,” said Kim, looking at her cellphone.
The journalists swung into action immediately, bringing all kinds of treats up to the podium for the two-time gold medalist to enjoy.

“It feels so unreal,” she said on Thursday (February 10) after the final in the Zhangjiakou Mountains.
The American became the first female snowboarder to successfully defend her title.
Kim dominated the top of the scoreboard in the final at Genting Snow Park as a fierce battle broke out for other podium places, and was quick to thank her team and family afterward.
“I worked hard for four years to come back here and do it again,” he said.
“I’m so proud of myself and I’m so grateful to everyone who supported me, even when I decided to take time off to go back to school. I mean, it just means the world.” Is.

“I had the worst exercise ever. I probably landed my run twice as much as I would normally use it to take off eight times, and so it puts you in an awkward headspace. It felt so inconsistent .
“I didn’t want to feel so pressured to land my first safety run (in competition). When I was able to land it the first time, I was filled with emotion, and it opened up a lot of opportunities for me. Something new To try to do (in his second and third runs).”
She fell on two runs after that, while attempting a historic 1260 cab.
“I just recently learned them, and I’ve been doing quite a few of them, but I haven’t really done them in this half-pipe, so I was curious to see what would happen. Definitely my way Didn’t go, but that’s okay.
“I did it once in practice, and it went well. We’ll try it another day.”
Kim also hugged freestyle ski gold medalist Ayling (Eileen) Gu at the edge of the competition area, and the Chinese freeskier gave American encouragement during the competition.
