John Morris (born John Edward Morris, 1 April 1964, Crewe, Cheshire, England)[1] is a former English cricketer who played for England in three Tests and eight ODIs from 1990 to 1991. He played first-class cricket for Derbyshire. From 1982 to 1993, for Durham from 1994 to 1999, and for Nottinghamshire in 2000 and 2001.

Curling
Canada was out of the gate in the 2018 mixed doubles curling competition and went on to win the gold medal, so Thursday morning’s defeat in the first game of the 2022 Olympic Winter Games was not a cause for alarm.
“We had a stinky first game in Pyeongchang,” Canada’s John Morris said on Thursday after a 6-4 loss to world champions Great Britain (Jennifer Dodds and Bruce Mouat).
“Four teams make the playoffs out of 10. Forty percent of the field. You’ve got to play a solid week. You obviously want to put yourself in a good position to make the playoffs, so it’s not just about one game Is.”
Morris was playing with Caitlin Laws in 2018 and this time his partner is Rachel Homan.
Daughter
In the early 1970s Morris decided to use a portion of his father’s liquor store to start Bass Pro Shops, selling fishing tackle. He held a oneida bow, a piece of archery equipment. On Wednesday, Megan Morris, daughter of Bass Pro Shops founder Johnny Morris, visited the Finley farm of the future, which will be the centerpiece.

John B. Morris, age 91, 57 West St., Illian, died on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at Bassett Hospital, Cooperstown, NY. He was born in Illion on August 16, 1918, the son of Thomas R. and Margaret (Curly) Morris, and graduated from Illion High School. John was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Served in the Army Air Corps. On August 8, 1940, he was married to Elizabeth “Betty” Garvey at St. Francis de Sales Church, Herkimer. Betty and John have been married for over 69 years. John worked for more than 40 years at the Central New York Coach Lines in Utica, retiring as corporate secretary in 1990. He was a member of the Church of the Annunciation. Survivors include his wife, Betty; their children, Patricia “Pam” O’Toole of Spring, TX, John Michael Morris and his wife, Jean, Christopher Morris of Sharpsburg, GA, Illion, Andrew Morris and his wife, Diane of Kentucky, and Patrick Morris of Ellion; 13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; Four brothers, Alfred Morris and his wife, Sue, Illian, James Morris, and Donald Morris and his wife, Maureen, all of Florida, Richard Morris of Utica, and Robert Morris and his wife.

It is unknown when and where John Morris/Morris, possibly from Messing, Essex, England, emigrated to the American colonies. He was in Hartford until the time of the Hartford land list of February 1639/40, when he held: two acres and three roods, on which his residence stood with other outhouse yards and gardens, the north-west section of Hartford. was located in. on the south side of the road from Old Oxpacher to Cow’s Pasture; three acres at Pine Field; and two acres on the east side of the Great River. The inventory also showed that he subsequently acquired six other parcels, including two lots at Soldiers Field. He was one of the residents “as given the lot only to be in Towns Courtesy”.He served on the Hartford jury on 7 December 1654 and 15 October 1662.
