Highlights
Nazi Harris can deliver a lot of highlights, and he gave Pittsburgh Steelers fans another on a touchdown run against the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Harris scored from 8 yards late in the third quarter as the Steelers pulled within a point of Brown, and they would take the lead later. On the scoring play, Jim Nantz of CBS Sports described it this way: “I know one thing… that was Superman-esque!” Harris flew from the 3-yard line on a play that would appear on a lot of future highlights.
Fantasy points
This week the access increased for Nazi Harris, who saw 26 chances against the Ravens. He took a lead of 71 yards on his 21 carries. Harris caught all five of his goals from 36 yards away. While TD knocked him out, work in the passing game helped him in the PPR formats. Clearly, Harris will find volume in any game in which the Steelers are competitive. In games like we saw a week ago where Pittsburgh was down early, he wouldn’t see Carey. The good news for Harris is that his work should happen on a week-to-week basis. In fact, he has not seen less than 3 goals in any game this season. He has at least 4 goals in the last 4 weeks and averages 5 per game in that period. With this workload he should be a mid-range RB1 among the rest.
Stiff arm
During the run, Nazi Harris broke the Steelers’ rookie rushing yards record set by Hall of Famer Franco Harris during the 1972 NFL season. Franco racked up 1,055 yards in just 14 games during his first season with the Steelers and was named Offensive Rookie of the Year. Naji now holds the record for 1,172 yards and counting. While the stern hand of Nazi Harris was brutal, Brown turned even more vicious a few minutes later, leaving Nick Chubb behind. With his team 13 points down more than half of his team in the third quarter, Chubb, who had a tough game, vented his frustration on Miles Kilbrough, knocking the safety to the ground with the most outrageous hard arm of the season.
Fantasy
For most of the fourth quarter on Monday evening, it seemed fairly clear that the Pittsburgh Steelers would hold off the Cleveland Browns to secure the team’s eighth win of the season. The Week 17 tilt – which was touted as Ben Roethlisberger’s potential final home game – never ventured into full-on blowout territory down the stretch, but Cleveland’s offense wasn’t exactly firing on all cylinders and Steelers fans Or other than gamblers, there was not much interest in the closing seconds of the game… outside of fantasy football. With most of the championships decided in week 17 this year, many people were keeping an eye on the action until the bitter end, and a wild play took place in less than a minute that was decisive for some. In third place, the Steelers, running back Nazi Harris, broke the line to secure the first game—cleaning.
