Is playing today
The Browns could advance to a three-way tie with the Bengals and Ravens if they secure a win over the Raiders in their Week 15 game on Monday afternoon.
If they are going to win, it will be without their starting quarterback.
Baker would not be a good fit for the Browns against the Mayfield Raiders. Along with backup quarterback Case Keenum, he has been sidelined, meaning third-string quarterback Nick Mullens will be forced to start the Browns’ most important game of the season so far.
Is vaccinated
The Cleveland Browns have until 2 p.m. today to set up their roster for their Monday afternoon game with the Las Vegas Raiders. There is a chance for different types of players to come out of the reserve/COVID-19 list, but it depends on three factors:
Vaccination Status – From Brown’s report, all the players on the list were vaccinated.
No symptoms – this probably excludes Jadevon Clooney who had symptoms all week. It’s not sure how many others had symptoms.
Negative COVID Testing – The NFL made it easier to achieve the threshold for a negative test (think low viral load) but today’s game still requires players to test negative.
Baker Mayfield, one of several players on the reserve list, posted last night that he meets the second criterion, is symptom-free, and noted that he has been vaccinated. This just omits the third criterion requirement, as Mayfield noted in his Instagram story
Covid update
The Cleveland Browns’ outbreak of COVID-19 pushed their Saturday game against the Las Vegas Raiders to Monday, but in the end, only one player was activated before the game, safety John Johnson III. That means quarterbacks Baker Mayfield and Case Keenum, along with wide receivers Jarvis Landry and Donovan Peoples-Jones, will be out for the game.
