Pnc Championship 2021: How to watch| Standings| Leaderboard

The PNC Championships, heading the golf calendar this weekend, are usually nothing more than a low-key festive exhibition in mid-December that offers parents and their kids the chance to play 36 holes of golf together. This year though? Because a certain 15-time major winner is making his first public golf appearance in 12 months, the event has become one of the must-see tournaments of the year.

The presence of Tiger Woods with his son Charlie doesn’t necessarily raise the stakes of the event, but it does add some significance to the Saturday and Sunday events at the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club in Orlando. Every swing and move Tiger takes will be described in great detail as, well, who he is and his year after a car wreck in February almost resulted in the amputation of his right leg.

Leaderboard

The Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at the Grand Lakes in Orlando is the host venue. Designed by Greg Norman and opened less than 10 miles from Walt Disney World in 2003, Grande Lake will play 7,122 yards, the equivalent of 72 for the pros.

Originally called the father-son challenge, the program has expanded to include pro golfers and a parent or child. One condition is that each group has a major championship winner.

Justin Thomas teamed up with his father Mike to win the 2020 tournament. Tiger Woods and his son Charlie finished seventh. Tiger was last seen playing golf at the event a year ago. In February, he suffered major injuries in a single-car accident in Los Angeles.
