Brazil hosted Colombia in So Paulo on Thursday, knowing it would book its ticket to Qatar with six World Cup qualifiers after a near-perfect record so far. Even a draw for Selecao would be enough if Uruguay loses to Argentina on Friday, and Brazilian media have reported that coach Tite has already been planning to check out the venues and facilities of the World Cup to be held in Qatar next month. Planning to go to the cup. Publicly, however, Tite is not looking ahead of himself to face arch-rivals Argentina in San Juan on the horizon next week. “We have two important matches against two teams, which for me are of the highest standard. A good performance and a good result against Colombia will give us good preparation for Argentina,” Tite said.
Tiate surprised Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho by recalling him to his squad after more than a year, largely due to a nine-month absence with a knee injury that required three surgeries.
