The NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, formerly known as Division I-A, is the top level of college football in the United States. The FBS is the most competitive subdivision of NCAA Division I, which itself consists of the largest and most competitive schools in the National Collegiate Athletic Association.

Michigan-Michigan State and Penn State-Ohio State are the top matchups of the weekend, though Penn State’s 9OT loss to Illinois lessens some of the shine of the matchup in Columbus.

Navy jumped into the latest College Football Playoff rankings released Tuesday night. The team is ranked No. 25 after the Midshipmen’s dominant 66-31 win over East Carolina this past weekend, extending the team’s winning streak to three games.
