What is wrong with:

Dr. David Chao explains in writing and video what happened to Cardinals defensive end J.J. Watt during Sunday’s game against his former team. Watt, tracing back to Sunday when he reportedly suffered a shoulder injury that will require surgery in the win over the Houston Texans.

The Cardinals practiced Tuesday, but Watt was not present and the injury report indicated that. The surprise came Wednesday when the team did not practice again, and in addition to the estimated DNP (did not practice), Watt was declared out for Thursday’s game against the Green Bay Packers.

How many full seasons has played:

The 7-0 Cardinals will certainly miss Watt, especially in tonight’s matchup against the Green Bay Packers, in which the Cardinals will need consistent pressure against Aaron Rodgers to keep the Green Bay offense in check.

Despite him being on a rival team, I hope this isn’t the end of J.J. Watt’s career. You’d hate to see a Hall-of-Fame career like his end in injury.

JJ Watt, who suffered a shoulder injury that he ultimately played through during the second quarter of the Cardinals’ 31-5 win over Watt’s former team, the Houston Texans, will have season-ending surgery to repair the injured shoulder, according to multiple reports.

Watt has had a significant impact on the Cardinals’ high-ranked defense despite a slow start. The five-time Pro Bowler has one sack, two passes defensed, 16 tackles, five tackles for a loss and 10 quarterback hits in seven games.

This will be the fourth season of Watt’s career that will be cut short by injury. He missed time in 2016 after two back surgeries, in 2017 because of a fractured left tibia and in 2019 because of a torn pec.
