Did win the last night:
The Braves went 7-3 in the first two rounds of the playoffs, in large part due to the performance of newcomer Eddie Rosario. He batted .474 with a 1.313 OPS. Just in the NLCS, he went 14-for-25 with nine RBI. His efforts earned him championship series MVP honors.
Moments before he was announced MVP, Braves fans in the stadium chanted Rosario’s name.
“This is a dream,” Rosario said in Spanish on stage. “I’m never going to forget this in my life.”
World series appearances:
- 1999: Lost 4-0 to New York Yankees.
- 1996: Lost 4-2 to New York Yankees.

The Brave defeated the Los Angeles Dodgers in six games in the National League Championship Series; the Astros beat the Boston Red Sox in six games to win the American League Championship Series.
It’s the first time the Brave are in the World Series since 1999. They are aiming for their first World Series championship since 1995.
Score:
Two names who have become synonymous with the Braves this postseason played hero on Saturday: Eddie Rosario and Tyler Matzek.
Responding to a freshly tied game in the bottom of the fourth inning, Rosario continued his hot hitting with a go-ahead three-run homer off Dodgers hurler Walker Buehler to put the Braves up for good. Then, in the seventh, when the Dodgers had the tying run in scoring position with no one out in a two-run game, Matzek came out of the bullpen and struck out three straight batters to strand the runners.
