The Australian basketball player was pulled out of practice on Tuesday by head coach Doc Rivers and will miss the next game against the New Orleans Pelicans.
He was reportedly sent home after not engaged during a practice session, and the NBA announced that his suspension was due to “conduct injurious to the team.”
After being removed from the session, Ben reportedly went to a local strip club to blow off some steam, and social media users are laughing about it on Twitter.

Ben Simmons’ return to the Philadelphia 76ers hasn’t gone super smoothly. The Sixers suspended Simmons for one game on Tuesday for conduct injurious to the team. As a result of the suspension, Simmons will miss Philadelphia’s season opener against the Pelicans in New Orleans on Wednesday night.
Sixers coach Doc Rivers took Simmons out of practice on Tuesday, and the suspension was handed down shortly thereafter. According to The Athletics Shams Charnia, Rivers asked Simmons to engage in a defensive exercise, and Simmons refused. Rivers told Simmons that he should go home, and Simmons obliged.
“I thought she was a distraction today,” Rivers said of Simmons. “I didn’t think he wanted to do what everyone else was doing. At the end of the day, as a coach, I had to defend the team. The team comes first, and then we go to the second half. So today I thought it was more important to focus on the team.
Cell Phone
Ever since the Philadelphia 76ers saw their season end in a second-round loss to the Atlanta Hawks, it has seemed a nonstop dysfunction for one of the most talented teams in the East.
After being thrown completely under the bus following the loss, Ben Simmons sought a trade and seemed ready to stay away from Philly, no matter the financial impact. But the prospect of a multimillion-dollar fine eventually took a toll on Simmons, making most of the return to the Sixers camp. He practiced with the team for the first time on Sunday and returned with the team on Monday in the presence of the media.
Well, just because Simmons was physically present at 76’s practice didn’t mean he was going to hide how miserable he was there.
