Vanchi LaShawn Jefferson Jr. (born July 26, 1996) is an American football wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams. Born in Jacksonville, Florida, Jefferson grew up in Brentwood, Tennessee and attended Ravenwood High School. As a junior, he caught 87 passes for 1,251 yards and 14 touchdowns. He was named first team All-State after recording 67 receptions for 1,223 yards and 13 touchdowns and initially committed to play college football at Georgia. Jefferson de-committed from Georgia in January of his senior year and ultimately signed to play at Ole Miss.

Stats
Jefferson redshirted his true freshman season at Ole Miss. In 2016, as a redshirt freshman, he had 49 catches for 543 yards and three touchdowns. Jefferson finished his redshirt sophomore season with 42 receptions for 456 yards and one touchdown. Following the 2017 season, Jefferson announced his intent to transfer from Ole Miss after the program was sanctioned by the NCAA, ultimately choosing to continue his collegiate career at Florida.
Fantasy week 5
Jefferson led the way for the Rams on Sunday, hauling in all six of his targets for 90 yards and a touchdown. Jefferson is third amongst Rams receivers in snaps behind Cooper Kupp and Robert Woods, but he has certainly made the most of it.
The Seahawks have one of the bottom pass defenses in the NFL, yielding 1,170 yards and eight touchdowns to opposing pass catchers through four games. That presents a tremendous opportunity for all of the Rams receivers including Jefferson. Start him if you have him.

The Los Angeles Rams had a chance to add one of the fastest receivers in the 2020 NFL Draft at No. 57 overall with Denzel Mims sitting on the board. Mims ran a 4.38 in the 40-yard dash at the combine this year, the third-fastest time of any receiver. Instead, the Rams took Van Jefferson, who didn’t run at the combine due to a Jones fracture in his foot. And while we don’t know exactly what Jefferson would’ve run in the 40, he does have plenty of speed.
At the Senior Bowl, Jefferson was clocked as the fastest player on the field. He topped out at 21.05 mph and 20.99 mph during punt return drills, which were the highest speeds of anyone in Mobile.
Dynasty
An Ole Miss recruit, Jefferson actually played ahead of A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf as a redshirt freshman in 2016, putting up a 49-543-3 receiving line, but in 2017, he fell behind Brown, Metcalf and also DeMarkus Lodge, so he transferred to Florida.
Because he graduated from Mississippi in three years, Jefferson was able to play right away for the Gators, and he’s led the team in receiving in each of the past two years.
Combine
Jefferson was selected by the Los Angeles Rams in the second round with the 57th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. The Rams previously traded wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Houston Texans to acquire the pick. In Week 11, against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, he recorded his first professional receiving touchdown.
In the Divisional Round of the playoffs against the Green Bay Packers, Jefferson recorded 6 catches for 46 yards and his first playoff touchdown during the 32–18 loss.
