On Thursday, Rahul’s brilliant 98 guided Punjab Kings to a 6 wicket victory over Chennai Kings. Rahul needed just 42 balls to hit 98 in an innings littered with seven fours and eight monstrous sixes, greatly overshadowing Du Plessis’ 76 in the first innings.
Earlier in the contest, Chennai Super Kings had a top-order collapse, as they had in their previous match against Delhi Capitals, before a Du Plessis acceleration carried them to 134/6.
