Player covid
Josh Archibald plays forward for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League. He refused to get vaccinated and had gone public with COVID denial theories on social media. His playing days may be numbered after he was diagnosed with a heart issue that is thought to be an aftereffect of someone who has contracted COVID.

Player grades
On Monday night, the Oilers hosted the Flames in the sixth of eight exhibition games. The Oilers iced what may be their opening night lineup after a poor team performance on Saturday night that left head coach Dave Tippett unhappy despite a 4-3 win (give or take the on-going battle for the 4th line a the 3LD spot). The Flames iced a similarly strong lineup, with Jakob Markstrom receiving the start and Sean Monahan and Noah Hanifin making their first game debuts (both recovered from off-season surgery).
Vs seattle kraken
There’s a reason it’s called Training Camp. While the scoreboard read 0-6 in favour of the host Oilers at the end of Tuesday’s game in Edmonton, it’s important to remember what the objective is in the weeks leading up to the regular season, which is developing, learning, and putting pieces together one at a time.
Dave Hakstol has continued to talk about the Kraken team’s foundation being built “from the ground up.” The coach and his squad were focused on continuing to work on lineup combinations, reinforcing how players should play, and giving them fresh and varied opportunities heading into Edmonton.
