Bobby Bowden was an American college football coach. Bowden coached the Florida State Seminoles at Florida State University from 1976 to 2009, and is considered one of the greatest college football coaches of all time for his achievements with the Seminoles.

Net Worth
When he was first hired by the state of Florida, Bobby’s annual salary was $37,500. By the early 1980s he was earning $140,000 per year. Today this equates to about $400,000 after adjusting for forex inflation. Bobby was the first college coach to earn $1 million a year in salary. He achieved this feat in 1995. At the end of his time with Florida State, Bowden was earning $2 million per year. At that level, he was often the highest-paid person in the state of Florida.

The Bowden logo – along with his iconic hat and “Bobby” sign – will be featured on each 25-yard line in front of the ACC logo. A tribute banner with the same logo will also be put up in the South End zone.
Shirt
Bowden played halfback and quarterback for Howard University (now Samford University) for 4 seasons. Their groups went 4–5 in 1949, 2–8 in 1950, and 2–3–1 in 1951. He was referred to as the “Little All-America” as a veteran in 1952, leading Howard to a 5–4 record.
After graduating from Howard College in 1953, Bowden earned his master’s degree, entering Peabody College in Nashville. He and Ann also had a growing family. One child, Robin, was born in 1951
Wife
Bowden and Ann had been married for 72 years. Bowden was 19 years old, n 16 when they married at the home of the Justice of the Peace in Rising Fawn, Georgia. They lived in the same Kilner Estates house they had moved from West Virginia 45 years earlier to Bowden being hired by FSU.
