The Ravens vs Falcons matchup delivered an exciting finish on Sunday Night Football as the Baltimore Ravens defeated the Atlanta Falcons 30-23 in overtime on October 11, 2026. Baltimore overcame the absence of quarterback Lamar Jackson, with Tyler Huntley stepping into the starting role and scoring the game-winning touchdown to secure the victory.
The Baltimore Ravens vs Atlanta Falcons game provided plenty of drama, with both teams competing in a closely contested NFL Week 5 matchup. The result gave Baltimore an important road win in Atlanta and made Huntley the central figure of the night.
Ravens vs Falcons Score and Game Highlights
The final score of the Falcons vs Ravens game was Baltimore 30, Atlanta 23. The contest remained competitive through regulation before the Ravens finished the job in overtime.
| Team | Final Score |
|---|---|
| Baltimore Ravens | 30 |
| Atlanta Falcons | 23 |
Baltimore’s ability to adjust without Lamar Jackson proved decisive. Tyler Huntley handled the quarterback responsibilities and delivered when the game was on the line, scoring the decisive touchdown in overtime.
For the Ravens football team, the win highlighted the importance of having a capable backup quarterback ready for a difficult road test. Atlanta, meanwhile, was unable to complete the game-winning response and left the field with a narrow defeat.
Tyler Huntley Leads Baltimore Without Lamar Jackson
The biggest storyline entering the Ravens-Falcons matchup was Lamar Jackson’s absence due to injury. His unavailability forced Baltimore to change its offensive approach and rely on Tyler Huntley under center.
Huntley responded with a performance that helped Baltimore remain competitive throughout the contest. His overtime touchdown ultimately separated the two teams and gave the Ravens a 30-23 victory.
The result also raised questions about Baltimore’s plans at quarterback while Jackson recovers. Huntley’s performance offered encouragement, although the team’s longer-term outlook will depend on Jackson’s availability and the offense’s ability to maintain consistency.
Atlanta Falcons Fall Short at Home
The Atlanta Falcons entered the game hoping to use home-field advantage to earn a valuable Week 5 victory. Instead, Atlanta struggled to finish the contest after taking the matchup into overtime.
The Falcons will need to review their execution in crucial situations, particularly on the defensive side. Allowing Baltimore to produce the decisive overtime touchdown proved costly in a game where a single successful possession made the difference.
Atlanta’s defensive leaders, including Jessie Bates III, remain important figures as the team looks to improve its performance. Young defensive back Malaki Starks is another name to watch in discussions about Baltimore’s secondary and the broader defensive matchup.
The defeat will also put additional attention on the Falcons’ coaching decisions, offensive efficiency and special-teams execution as the season continues.
Nick Folk and the Falcons Kicker Storyline
Kicking and special teams can become crucial in a close NFL game, especially when a contest reaches overtime. Nick Folk is a recognizable name among NFL kickers, but the supplied game report does not establish his specific involvement or provide a complete kicking breakdown for this matchup.
The Falcons kicker situation is another area fans may want to follow when reviewing Atlanta’s performance. However, individual field-goal attempts, extra points and missed kicks should be confirmed through the official box score rather than assumed from the final score alone.
Ravens vs Falcons Prediction: What the Result Means
Before kickoff, a Ravens vs Falcons prediction would have depended heavily on Lamar Jackson’s availability, Baltimore’s ability to run the football and Atlanta’s defensive response.
Baltimore’s overtime win demonstrated that the Ravens could still find a way to win without their regular starting quarterback. Huntley’s decisive touchdown was the defining moment, while the team’s ability to survive a competitive road game proved important.
For anyone searching for Falcons vs Ravens predictions, the result highlights several factors worth considering in a future meeting:
-
Quarterback availability: Jackson’s health could significantly change Baltimore’s offensive outlook.
-
Ravens run defense: Baltimore’s defensive ability to limit opposing rushing attacks remains an important matchup factor.
-
Falcons run defense: Atlanta must be prepared to defend both conventional rushing plays and quarterback movement.
-
Defensive playmakers: Jessie Bates III and Malaki Starks are relevant names when assessing defensive matchups.
-
Late-game execution: The overtime finish showed how one possession can determine the outcome of a closely contested NFL game.
These factors can help inform future predictions, but the October 11 result does not guarantee the outcome of a rematch.
