Keyonte George has reached a major milestone in his NBA career, agreeing to a five-year, $157.5 million rookie-scale contract extension with the Utah Jazz, according to reports on Sept. 18, 2026.
The agreement keeps the young guard in Utah for the foreseeable future and represents a significant commitment from the Jazz as the franchise continues building around its emerging core.

According to reports cited by KSL Sports, the Utah Jazz and George agreed to a five-year, $157.5 million extension. The contract works out to an average annual value of approximately $31.5 million.
The deal also reportedly does not include a team or player option, meaning the contract is structured to keep George under contract with Utah throughout its full five-year term.
The extension was finalized following months of negotiations between George’s representatives and Jazz basketball operations leadership.
Keyonte George’s Rise With the Jazz
George entered the NBA after Utah selected him with the No. 16 overall pick in the first round of the 2023 NBA Draft. He arrived from Baylor after a strong freshman season and immediately received an opportunity to contribute for a rebuilding Jazz team.
As a rookie, George averaged 13.0 points per game. He then increased his production to 16.8 points per game during his sophomore season, showing his potential as both a scorer and lead guard.
