The Los Angeles Dodgers continued their strong September run with a 6-3 victory over the Cincinnati Reds on Monday, turning in another impressive performance at Dodger Stadium.

Shohei Ohtani Returns

Eugenio Suárez Keeps Cincinnati Alive
The Reds continued to battle after falling behind.
Eugenio Suárez hit a solo home run to center field in the seventh inning, his 22nd homer of the season, cutting into the Dodgers’ advantage.
Cincinnati then had runners on second and third with one out in the eighth inning. Dane Myers’ groundout brought home another run, pulling the Reds within 5-3.
But Cincinnati could not complete the comeback.
A sacrifice fly from Will Smith restored the Dodgers’ three-run cushion, and Evan Phillips closed out the ninth inning with a perfect frame for his first save of the season.
Chase Burns Has Impressive Short Outing
Despite the loss, Chase Burns gave the Reds another encouraging performance on the mound.
The Cincinnati All-Star starter allowed no hits and only one walk while striking out five batters. His appearance was limited to three innings as part of the Reds’ workload management plan.
Cincinnati is carefully managing Burns’ usage down the stretch, particularly as the young right-hander navigates the final portion of the season.
His hitless outing against the Dodgers showed why he remains an important part of Cincinnati’s future.
