The Mavericks are reportedly optimistic that Doncic has not suffered a major injury. Doncic will fortunately have almost a week to recover as the Mavericks will not participate in the play-in round.
Dallas, as the No. 4 seed following Golden State’s victory Sunday, will face the No. 5 Utah Jazz in the first round. That series will start no earlier than Saturday. Doncic was initially not supposed to play in this game.

San Antonio is locked into 10th place and will play at New Orleans in the first round of the Play-In Tournament. The winner of that game will play the loser of Timberwolves-Clippers and battle for the No. 8 seed.
